Privacy Policy

Last Updated:

At EchoCast Studio, we take the privacy of our creators and their listeners seriously. This document outlines how we collect, process, secure, and share information collected via our podcast hosting platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us directly when creating an account, as well as data gathered automatically when listeners fetch audio files:

  • Creator Account Details: Name, email address, payment details, show titles, and visual cover artwork assets.
  • Audio Analytics: IP addresses of fetching clients, user-agents (e.g. Spotify, Apple Podcasts client), download timestamps, and regional geolocation data (derived from truncated IP addresses).
  • Cookies: Session markers used to maintain logins in your creator dashboard. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Data

EchoCast utilizes the collected data for the following purposes:

  1. To manage your hosting server space and syndicate your RSS feeds to third-party players.
  2. To generate creator analytics reports (e.g., aggregated geographic download statistics, platforms utilized).
  3. To process monthly subscription bills and payout membership tier revenues.
  4. To secure our network against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attempts or audio abuse.

3. Data Security Measures

We implement strict security standards to ensure your files and customer data remain secure:

All dashboard connections use secure HTTPS protocols. Geolocation analytics are compiled utilizing truncated IP hashes, ensuring that precise listener locations remain fully anonymous. Payment details are handled entirely by PCI-compliant merchant gateways (Stripe), meaning credit card information never touches our databases.
